Who made Spot Scam?
Spot Scam was created by two engineers who were tired of the staggering, growing number of scams, and victims. Wanting to give people a way to fight back against scammers, we started working on a free AI based tool to check messages, text, urls, images (coming soon), voice messages (coming soon), and calls (coming soon).
Is it really free?
Yes, it is completely free. We do have running costs and are in the process of integrating a sponsorship system, for people who would like to donate something, and help keep the service running.
How are you funding it?
Currently self funded, along with some generosity from the wonderful folks at Hugging Face. A sponsorship / donation system is in the works.
Do you collect our data?
No - except for the message itself which goes to the training of the bot. The message is anonymized, so we do not have any reference to your phone/email or anything stored.
What is the AI based on?
The AI is based on a customized Cohere For AI LLM, and others for handling Images, Video, and Audio.
